Position Description:
The Canton Central School District Board of Education is seeking a highly qualified leader to serve as its Superintendent effective July 1, 2025. The district serves 1,050 K-12 students, employs 241 individuals and has an operating budget of approximately $41,825,000.
Qualifications:
The search will use a traditional open process. The successful candidate is required to have previous experience as a general educator and building administrator along with either SDA or SDL certificate. He/she will have a strong background in curriculum and instruction, school finance and human resources. The board seeks a passionate leader who is deeply committed to the success of all students in achieving a high level of excellence. The board seeks a knowledgeable, collaborative and compassionate individual. Prior superintendents have valued supportive boards of education, staff, parents and community members.
