Position Description:
The Granville Central School District Board of Education is seeking a Superintendent of Schools for its approximately 950 pupil PreK-12 district. The Granville Central School District comprises the Towns of Granville, Hebron, Hampton, and a portion of the Town of Whitehall. The District is also a school choice for families in Southern Vermont. The Village of Granville is nestled in the Mettawee River Valley, a gateway to both the Adirondack Mountains and the Lakes Region of Vermont. Two buildings, centrally located in the Village of Granville, accommodate Granville Elementary School and the Junior/Senior High School adjacent to numerous athletic fields. The Mary J. Tanner Primary School and the Transportation Department are located on Route 22 in Middle Granville.
The Board of Education expects to offer an initial salary in the $155,000 - $170,000 range based on the successful candidate's experience and training. An excellent fringe benefit package will also be included.
