Position Description:
The Westfield Board of Education seeks a knowledgeable and passionate leader who is deeply committed to ensuring the success of all students. This outstanding educator will have the ability to bring together the entire school community to achieve excellence. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the District’s future with the hiring, mentoring, and evaluation of new faculty and staff members. The Board seeks a candidate who will be visible throughout the District, and whose personal commitment will augment the climate and culture of the District.
Qualifications:
The Board believes that it would be beneficial to bring a candidate to the District who demonstrates knowledge of education law, school finance, and operations, and has prior experience with developing, analyzing, and managing budgets and capital projects, along with the capability of helping taxpayers to understand the District’s finances.
The Board prefers candidates who have a minimum of five years of education experience (teaching experience and some central office experience preferred) and requires candidates to have a minimum of three years of administrative experience and possess a NYS School District Administrator or NYS School District Leader certification.
Salary Range:
up to $170,000 and a commensurate benefit package.
