Qualifications :
- Graduation from an accredited law school no more than three (3) years prior to appointment and admission to the New York State Bar within eighteen (18) months of appointment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Understanding of need for upmost integrity and ability to handle sensitive matters on a confidential basis
Note 1 : Assistant Law Clerks are appointed to a one (1) year clerkship, renewable four (4) times.
Note 2 : Judges who appoint an Assistant Law Clerk forego appointment of a Secretary / Administrative Assistant.
