What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Maintenance Specialist position at New York State Unified Court System?
The New York State Unified Court System is seeking a Senior Assistant Building Superintendent to assist in the Court of Appeals in Albany, NY that will work under the supervision of the Deputy Building Superintendent. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the Maintenace of the Court of Appeals building and grounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising subordinate staff in Maintenace and repair techniques.
- Inspecting the work of subordinate staff.
- Performing repairs of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment.
- Making carpentry, masonry, plastering, and painting repairs.
- Moving office furniture, equipment, and other items.
- Performing grounds-keeping and snow removal.
Qualifications:
Successful completion of the twelfth grade or the equivalent; and Three years of experience in painting, plastering, and carpentry work; or An equivalent combination of education or experience.
Note: Must possess a valid New York State driver's license.
