What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Case Manager position at New York State Unified Court System?
The 7th Judicial District, Monroe Supreme & County Court, is seeking a detail-oriented Case Manager I to join the Problem-Solving Courts team. This position will primarily be assigned to the Mental Health Court. The successful candidate will provide case management and monitoring services to participants with behavioral health and substance use disorders, ensuring that they receive appropriate treatment and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide case management and monitoring services to participants with behavioral health and substance use disorders.
- Conduct assessments of participants to determine the need for services and make preliminary case recommendations to the court.
- Refer participants to behavioral health counseling and/or substance use disorder treatment.
- Perform data entry and maintain case files in the case management system.
- Prepare written reports.
- Report on participant compliance with program requirements.
- Evaluate participant progress and make recommendations regarding their continued treatment needs.
- Prepare clients for discharge to the community.
- Conduct court-mandated drug testing.
- Participate in training and other court coverage activities as required, including some travel within the district.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards;
or
Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards;
or
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
