The New York State Unified Court System is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Jury Analyst to support the 4th Judicial District Schenectady County Commissioner of Jurors Office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and recommend policies and procedures for jury selection and management to optimize court efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and recommend source lists for potential jurors, design juror questionnaires, and review completed questionnaires to determine eligibility.
- Determine the number of jurors required based on court schedules and available resources.
- Oversee compliance with jury duty regulations and ensure timely enforcement.
- Provide comprehensive orientation for jurors, ensuring they are informed about their roles and expectations during service.
- Promote effective communication by preparing and processing juror payrolls in accordance with established guidelines.
- Analyze statistical data on jury operations and assist in preparing reports as required to inform strategic decisions.
- Respond to public inquiries regarding jury service and provide exceptional customer service in a professional and efficient manner.
- Assist in implementing jury management policies and procedures to enhance court operations.
- Provide administrative support to the Commissioner of Jurors and assist with other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
A High School Diploma or equivalent and two years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
