What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Director position at New York State Unified Court System?
The New York State Unified Court System is hiring a Project Director in the 5th Judicial District Administrative Office in either Onondaga or Oneida Counties. The position will be filled in one of the following titles and will be based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate: Project Director I or Project Director II.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all problem-solving courts in the 5th Judicial District, ensuring smooth and effective operations across the district.
- Work closely with Coordinating Judges for Problem Solving Courts, District Administrative Office, Chief Clerks, Case Coordinators, and Case Managers to ensure effective court operations and case management.
- Assign, monitor, and direct the work of case managers and resource coordinators.
- Assess staff skills, recommend appropriate training, and support professional development opportunities for the team to enhance performance.
- Prepare and analyze statistical reports.
- Supervise the timely and accurate completion of reports.
- Conduct regular reviews of case files to ensure proper documentation, adherence to protocols, and that all relevant information is up-to-date.
- Address and manage clinical issues related to the courts.
- Conduct regular site visits to agencies involved in the problem-solving courts to assess performance, ensure compliance, and evaluate program effectiveness.
- Prepare the annual budget for the unit, monitor expenditures.
- Manage grant applications and management.
- Participate in case conferences.
- Occasionally travel throughout the district is required.
Qualifications:
Project Director II: Master's Degree from an accredited school of social work and three (3) years of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards; or Bachelors Degree from an accredited school of social work and five (5) years of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards; or Credentialized Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor Certificate (CASAC) and six (6) years of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards; or An equivalent combination of education and experience. Base Salary: $94,386
Project Director I: Master's Degree from an accredited school of social work and two (2) years of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards; or Bachelors Degree from an accredited school of social work and four (4) years of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards; or Credentialized Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor Certificate (CASAC) and five (5) years of satisfactory full-time experience in social casework with a recognized public or private agency adhering to accepted professional standards; or An equivalent combination of education and experience. Base Salary: $84,659
