Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
- Develop CNC programs using CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidWorks, or similar applications.
- Set up/Operate CNC machines including loading materials, installing cutting tools, and configuring machine parameters.
- Perform test runs to ensure that CNC programs are accurate and meet quality standards.
- Optimize machining processes to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize waste.
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions or deviations from specifications and make adjustments as necessary.
- Inspect finished components to verify conformance to quality standards and make adjustments as required.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Maintain documentation of CNC programs, tooling specifications, and machine settings.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for CNC programming (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, and cutting parameters.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T), and technical specifications.
- Experience with a variety of CNC machines such as lathes, and Mills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in a manufacturing environment.
