What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Engineer - Enterprise Reference Data Platform position at New York Technology Partners?
In this role, you will:
Partner with the industry’s top investment professionals, quantitative researchers, and data scientists to design, develop, and deploy solutions that answer fundamental questions about financial markets Design and develop our next-gen reference system with high performance, low latency, ease of use.
Design and maintain ETL pipelines for seamlessly ingesting data f rom diverse sources into our systems, contributing to the expansion of our knowledge graph.
Create and execute appropriate quality plans, project plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management ef forts.
Qualifications:
5 years of work experience in financial software development
Proficiency in Java, knowledge of C and Python is a plus
Exposure to reference data and or extensive work with data ingestion
Passion for working with financial data, and a good understanding of data modeling.
Experience architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact.
Experienced in distributed system design, with prior ownership to mission-critical systems.
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
