Onsite 4x/week in Cincinnati, OH
Visa – Independent on our w2 only (CTH)
We can use h1b, but they possibly will want to convert them perm after 6-12 months.
Note:- the trick with this role is they want someone who can wear all the hats in the SDLC of data modeling.

JOB DESCRIPTION
A fortune 100 company is seeking a Data Scientist for a contract to hire role that will work onsite 4 days a week in the greater Cincinnati Ohio area. You will join a small and highly collaborative team that is responsible for rapid prototyping. To be successful, you will need to have a positive mindset, proactive problem solving mentality and never give up on finding a solution. This individual will be responsible for the following: Partner with business users and leaders in problem solving approaches and exploring business challenges that can be addressed with data science and machine learning. Learn and understand Business domain, and co-develop narratives guiding business users through ideation and estimation on solutions that drive business value. Analyze data, build statistical & machine learning models and algorithms. Improve upon existing machine learning methodologies by identifying new data sources, developing and testing model enhancements, running computational experiments, and fine-tuning model parameters for new models. Formalize assumptions about how models are expected to behave, creating definitions of outliers, developing methods to systematically identify these outliers, and explaining why they are reasonable or identifying fixes for them, and ensuring deliverables meet scope, quality and timeline targets. Proven experience and knowledge of Python, R, with strong SQL skills. Strong knowledge of visualization in Power BI & experience of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications. Proven experience and knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, etc.) along with Experience in an Azure environment highly preferred, combined with Experience working with enterprise scale databases, with demonstrated ability to independently query and prepare data for analysis.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
5 years of experience in Data Science 4 years of experience using AI and ML models - Proven experience and knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, generative adversarial networks (GAN) etc.) 4 years of experience with Python Experience building ETL pipelines Experience deploying to a cloud native environment
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
PowerBI, tableau or other visualization tools Masters or PhD Degree in a quantitative field such as Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Economics Experience in Azure Experience with Azure Devops or GitHub Understanding of terraform or infrastructure as code
