Job Title: Associated Outreach Consultant
Location: West Virginia
Position Type: Fulltime position
Responsibilities:
- Execute an established outreach plan for the Program and communicate a consistent brand and message.
- Provide one on one assistance to customers and contractors regarding their energy savings opportunities and how to utilize the program’s offerings.
- Provide sector intelligence by analyzing and summarizing data and trends within given markets and identifying opportunities to engage with these sectors.
- Identify outreach opportunities by ascertaining customer requirements and analyzing how the program can reach customers.
- Manage and track leads and project utilizing TRC’s project tracking system.
- Work closely with other functional groups, including program coordination and engineering.
- Builds relationships with partners, clients and customers.
- Prepares and updates materials for trade shows and events.
- Attend and present at tradeshows and events as necessary, to promote and educate businesses on the benefits of the Program.
- Performs a variety of standard project tasks within time & budget of project with limited oversight.
- Develops and deliver educational tools to help Trade Allies and customers adhere to energy efficiency programs.
- Supports the implementation of projects and contributes to develop reports.
- Gains sector/domain-specific knowledge and develop core skills.
- Travel expectations within assigned territory.
- Will travel within Client’s West Viriginia territory and must have reliable transportation.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Responsible for maintenance and fees of the transportation vehicle.
Minimum Requirements:
- Residency in the State of West Virginia
Educational/Work experience requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree OR
- Associates degree and 2 years of relevant experience OR
- HS diploma and 4 years of relevant experience
- Experience evaluating the effectiveness of outreach efforts and suggesting alternatives.
- Excellent oral, presentation, and written communications skills.
- Understanding of target audience and how to effectively engage multiple levels of decision making within a company, municipality, or other local government or state agency.
- Team-oriented, hands-on, highly skilled, adaptive, and client-focused.
Desired Skills And Experience:
- Sales or business development experience, preferably within the energy sector, or the design or construction industries.
- Energy efficiency-related certifications are a plus, such as Certified Energy Manager (CSM) or LEED AP (LEED Accredited Professional).
- Experience working with state agencies, public authorities or utilities preferred.
- Experience with commercial or industrial site energy efficiency evaluations or audits a plus.
Salary : $45,000 - $50,000
