What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Engineer position at New York Technology Partners?
As a Quality Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring top-tier product quality and customer satisfaction. Acting as a key point of contact for quality-related matters, you’ll work closely with Certified Floor Auditor Level IIIs, Quality Layout Technicians, and teams across Production and Customer Service to uphold and exceed industry standards. In this role, you’ll develop and refine operating practices that drive preventative action, minimize nonconformance, and ensure that every product leaving our facility meets the highest customer and regulatory expectations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Leads continuous improvement efforts within the manufacturing cell, analyzing data to determine root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Reviews and disposes of non-conforming products.
- Develops qualification protocols and control plans to meet all customer requirements while minimizing scrap and eliminating customer returns.
- Ensures all necessary instructions are in place to comply with customer, FDA, and other regulatory agency requirements.
- Supports CFA Level III and Quality Layout Technicians by creating and explaining procedures and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in mechanical or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 13485, FDA, GMP, and USDA regulations.
- Experience in metrology, statistical analysis, and Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt certification preferred).
- Proven expertise in process validation and quality assurance methodologies.
- Technical report writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
