Position Summary
The Manager of Facilities Project will hold a key role in the execution and timely delivery of facilities management projects for the College of Dentistry. Serve as a key liaison with NYU Office of Construction Management (OCM) to organize, plan, and develop the design and construction efforts for multiple projects, involving renovations to space and/or upgrades to campus infrastructure, including laboratory expansion, leased space and dental clinical space. For the College, and in collaboration with NYU OCM, manage several competing projects, from start to finish, ensuring their completion is timely, as designed, and within budget. Organize, develop scope of work, requests for proposals, punch lists, post-construction alterations and furniture requests and address all space requirements. Represent the priorities of the College to develop and implement documentation, standards and procedures to support the operational and strategic goals of the College. Interface with faculty, facilities managers, architects, engineers, and various construction, furniture, access control and furniture vendors.Qualifications
Required Education:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent Required Experience:5 years Facility Project Management, Facilities Management experience or related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Knowledge of project management methodologies including design and construction management, contract management, building codes and requirements. Ability to analyze and determine space utilization needs and projections. Knowledge and experience to effectively direct and review the preparation of design and construction documents, review and approve contractor submittals, and to effectively resolve field problems during construction. Knowledge of sustainability best practices. Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Experience working on a university campus is preferred. Working knowledge of NYS Building Codes, National Electrical Code, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) code requirements, and other National and Fire Protection Act (NFPA) standards. Revit experience a plus, LEED AP preferred.Additional Information
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $110,000.00 to USD $130,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
