The New York Yankees are seeking highly motivated, compassionate, and hard-working individuals to assist in managing the 50/50 Raffle Representatives and volunteer groups for game day operations of the New York Yankees Foundation’s 50/50 Raffle. During Yankees home games, the New York Yankees Foundation will be promoting 50/50 raffle tickets to help support the Foundation’s mission and other partner charities. Supervisors are expected to be positive brand ambassadors for the New York Yankees Foundation and the 50/50 Raffle program, and successfully lead our 50/50 Raffle Representatives and volunteers to achieve jackpot and operational goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Oversee 50/50 Raffle operations; monitor, motivate and coach 50/50 Raffle Representatives and volunteers; provide technical support; and promote raffle tickets using handheld device (as needed) from gates opening through end of raffle
- Support 50/50 Raffle team in advance of 50/50 Raffle Representatives and volunteer arrivals with preparation and organization of handheld devices’ software and hardware
- Strategically assign 50/50 Raffle Representatives and volunteers throughout Yankee Stadium during pre-game and in-game timeframes: adjusting for real-time condition changes (weather, game delays, under/over staffed locations, kiosk coverages, etc.)
- Assist with the breakdown of raffle, equipment collection, and 50/50 Raffle Representative insights (positives/negatives) from day and homestand operations
- Complete and submit game reports to 50/50 Raffle team, inclusive of device and location assignment logs, any individual or team goal achievements, and any issues or other pertinent information
- Other duties as assigned or requested by Director of Stadium Tours
Qualifications and Experience:
- High School diploma
- Professional demeanor, hospitable and customer service oriented
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, quick learner
- Must have excellent verbal communication skills and demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for the New York Yankees Foundation’s mission
- Flexible work schedule and ability to work majority of home games during the baseball season as well as additional events, including evenings, weekends and select holidays
- Ability to work in an outside environment
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time (with or without accommodation)
