Gameday Tour and 50/50 Support Staff will assist the Yankee Stadium Tours department with welcoming guests to Yankee Stadium, delivering consistent, respectful and courteous service, and providing accurate information related to Yankee Stadium and Tour programming items. This role will also assist with promoting the New York Yankees Foundation’s 50/50 Raffle fundraising initiative. 50/50 Raffles take place at all Yankees home games, where one lucky winner receives 50% of the jackpot, with the remaining 50% being directed to the Yankees Foundation to support ongoing charitable efforts.
This role will be centered primarily around all Yankee home gamedays.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist Yankee Stadium Tours team and guests with tour programming offers (Pregame Tours, Pregame Glimpse of Greatness, Gameday Express Tour, etc.)
- Provide accurate tour and Yankee Stadium information to guests
- Direct tour guests accordingly before, during and after tour programs
- Provide escort support for Yankee Stadium Tours team as directed
- Promote 50/50 Raffle program either at stationary kiosk location or as a roaming raffle representative
- Approach and engage guests pre-game and in-game, motivating them to participate in 50/50 Raffle via purchase of 50/50 Raffle tickets
- Facilitate purchases and distribution of 50/50 raffle tickets via electronic handheld device while communicating and educating guests on 50/50 Raffle details and rules
- Represent the Yankees and the New York Yankees Foundation in a positive and respectful manner
- Understand the mission of the New York Yankees Foundation and effectively communicate and deliver information regarding the Foundation’s charitable endeavors
- Assist Raffle Supervisors with troubleshooting and in-game management of raffle volunteers, supplies, kiosks, tablets and printers
- Commit to working a minimum of 70 games March through September, with the possibility of postseason games
- Other projects assigned or requested by Director of Stadium Tours
Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrate customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills
- Flexible work schedule and ability to work majority of home games during the baseball season, including evenings, weekends and select holidays
- Ability to work in an outside environment
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time (with or without accommodation)
