Responsibilities
- Responsible for setting up procedure rooms, layout of supplies, selection of proper scopes
- Prepares endoscopy procedure room after each procedure by following infection control practices including disinfection of all surfaces etc.
- Cleaning and flushing of scopes following national standards and guidelines for infection control practices
- Monitor and maintain the automated endoscopic reprocessing equipment including performance control of monitoring/quality assurance procedures regarding equipment and disinfectants
- Maintain autoclave and processing all sterilization procedures following guidelines
- Properly shut down of reprocessing room to include hanging all endoscopes and accessories after end of HLD cycle. Decontamination of scope buddy protocol
- Knowledge in setting up endo cart with endoscope and all necessary accessories for each case, ensuring that all equipment is connected and functioning properly, ahead of all procedures
- Experience in Troubleshooting all endoscopy equipment to include processor, light source, scopes and Medivators CER- machine
- Competent in pre–cleaning, leak testing, manual cleaning, and high-level disinfection (HLD) of all endoscopes and accessory equipment in a Medivators AER system
- Skills in Orbera balloon insertion and Orbera/Obalon balloon retrieval methods using correct equipment and accessories a plus
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Certified Endoscopy Technician
- Required one-year experience in GI setting
- Certified in BLS
Salary : $26 - $30
