Description
Position Summary:
The Data Coordinator will assist in managing and maintaining data related to Bills of Material (BOM), Product Routings, Item Data, and Costing Information. You’ll play an important role in supporting our engineering, manufacturing and production teams by ensuring accurate and timely updates to key product data.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Product Structure Support:
- Assist with maintaining and updating BOMs and routings to ensure they reflect accurate product components, materials, and quantities.
- Work with senior team members to verify that BOMs are aligned with production steps and engineering requirements along with labor requirements.
- Support the creation and maintenance of product routing information that defines production steps and labor requirements.
- Help ensure BOM’s and routings are up-to-date and accurately reflect production workflows.
- Item Data Management:
- Assist with entering and updating item data, including material descriptions, classifications, and inventory details.
- Ensure that item data is consistent across systems and meets company standards.
- Costing Information Support:
- Help with updating and maintaining product costing data, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
- Support the team in ensuring that cost information is accurate for product pricing and reporting purposes.
- Data Accuracy and Integrity:
- Ensure that data entered into systems is accurate and up-to-date.
- Perform basic data checks and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Collaboration with Teams:
- Work closely with other departments, including procurement, production, and finance, to gather and update necessary data.
- Support cross-functional teams in maintaining data consistency and accuracy.
- General Administrative Support:
- Assist with generating basic reports and providing data insights as needed.
- Perform routine administrative tasks related to data entry, document management, and data reconciliation.
Requirements
Education, Skills and Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of data entry, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and learn from senior team members.
- Exposure to ERP systems a plus, but not required.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes or interest in learning about production and product lifecycle management a plus
