The Procurement Coordinator will assist and collaborate with the Procurement Manager. The Procurement Coordinator will provide support to the Supply Chain Department and balance daily workload while managing priorities assigned to them.

Key Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with identifying and negotiating with suppliers to provide the best pricing, serviceability and quality leveraging tools such as commodity trends and market conditions.
- Assist with part number creation and maintenance of item and procurement cards.
- Support strategic initiatives that monitor and improve supplier performance.
- Assist with Sterility Program maintenance.
- Assist with Change Management System.
- Assist with supplier scorecards and SMR’s and RDF’s.
- Review and send custom request for quotes to vendors and update the Custom Quote database.
- Identify and/or support the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost, improve inventory levels, lower lead times, and accelerate speed to market.
- Maintain accurate, PO costing on all stock products and communicate all changes in costs to department management.
- Maintain accurate record keeping of the vendor file maintenance.
- Assist with corrective actions to ensure immediate resolution via replacement of out of spec product and to ensure out of spec. product is returned to the appropriate vendor for credit.
- Assist with MRO buying responsibilities.
- Work directly with Supply Chain staff on special projects
- Other duties as assigned.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment
- Detail Oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Sense of urgency and negotiation skills via analytical and problem solving abilities
Education, Skills And Experience Requirements
- Associates degree preferred in business administration, but may be substituted for 3 years related business experience
- 2 years’ experience in supply chain using a MRP system. Microsoft NAV experience is a plus.
