What you will accomplish as an ERP - Systems Administrator at TAPCO :
The Senior ERP Systems Administrator will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the corporate ERP platform, currently Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Business Central implementation, integration, and migration. This role requires in-depth knowledge of various Business Central components and a commitment to maintaining a current and stable environment.
This position reports to the Information Technology Operations Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain the Business Central platform to meet business needs
Ensure the effective integration of Business Central with other systems and platforms
Monitor platform licensing and perform regular audits
Occasional travel may be required for short-term assignments.
Perform system upgrades and patches, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Develop and maintain Business Central workflows, forms, and scheduled jobs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement Business Central solutions that align with business objectives.
3rd Party software integrations
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality.
Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
Stay updated with the latest Business Central features, best practices, and industry trends.
Participating in an after-hours support On Call rotation
Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance events when needed, including occurrences outside of normal business hours.
Perform routine audits of systems and software and prepare reports based on the results of the audits.
Follow department processes and workflows.
Schedule and work with outside vendors and contractors, assign tasks, and track their time.
Supports technical personnel on issues related to IT functions.
Follows all company safety rules and 5S / Lean Manufacturing policies.

Required Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science or related field and / or commensurate on-the-job experience
Four years prior work experience in a manufacturing or industry related setting
Strong understanding of Business Central components including Insight Warehouse, E-Ship, EDI, Sales Orders, Finance, item management, and purchasing.
Prior project management experience
Prior experience diagnosing complex problems and developing solutions.
Willingness to travel out of state for short term assignments
Excellent communication skills
Excellent critical thinking skills and attention to detail is essential.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications :

Knowledge of ERP best practices
