Per Diem Executive Mentor

The Superintendent invites qualified and interested persons to apply for the position of Per Diem Executive Mentor at Central Office.
Qualifications
1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent, Deputy or Assistant Superintendent in an urban setting.
2. Proven record of success as a Superintendent, Deputy or Assistant Superintendent.
3. Proven record of success in working in an urban setting.
4. Ability to mentor and provide support to Executive level leadership.
5. NJ School Administrator Certificate required.
Preferred :
1. Experience working in the Newark Board of Education.
Responsibilities
1. Allocate time for regularly meeting with executive level leaders throughout the year
2. Meeting with executive level leaders as needed
3. Observing and coaching the practices of current executive level leaders
4. Assist executive level leaders in identifying and solving problems
5. Review relevant district data and documentation
6. Assist executive level leaders with tracking progress against short term and long term goals
7. Consult with Superintendent
