Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. Duties
- Assist orthodontist during procedures, including the placement and adjustment of braces and other orthodontic appliances.
- Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterile and ready for use.
- Take and record vital signs as needed, ensuring accurate medical records are maintained in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients and their families on proper oral hygiene practices related to orthodontic care.
- Manage patient flow within the office, ensuring timely appointments while providing a welcoming environment.
- Maintain infection control protocols by adhering to established aseptic techniques.
- Utilize Cloud9 software for scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and documenting treatment progress.
Experience
- Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic is preferred.
- Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques is essential.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
