- Newaygo Veterinary Services has an opening for a Customer Service Representative with hours ranging from 28-36 hours a week depending on needs of the clinic.
We are currently open 5 days a week functioning as a busy companion animal veterinary clinic. We offer services such as preventative care, dentistry, digital radiology, ultrasonography, orthopedic procedures, and soft tissue procedures. We have in-house laboratory testing and diagnostic imaging that allow our Veterinarians and staff to provide quality care to our patients.
We are currently seeking a compassionate and highly motivated individual to join our clinic. We value exceptional customer service in addition to outstanding patient care. The successful candidate will:
- Greet clients; answer phones; schedule appointments/reminders; weigh patients and verify client/patient information in the database.
- Triaging phone calls and passing along documentation to appropriate staff.
- Ensure that all animals are being cared for properly and moving through the system efficiently
- Assess patient and update computer records.
- Fill prescriptions, measure medications and label containers.
- Assist with housekeeping (laundry, clean exam and waiting rooms as needed)
- Perform financial duties (enter charges and collect payments)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience-preferred
- Familiarity with veterinary equipment and procedures -preferred
- Excellent client communication skills, required
- Ability to exercise good judgment and be resourceful

The hours of operation for the clinic are Monday 7-6pm, Tuesday through Friday 7-5pm and Saturdays 8-1pm. We are currently closed on Saturdays, but availability is dependent on the time of year and staffing needs.
