Description:
Train, manage and support summer school staff in Fuel Education courses. Assess student progress utilizing the Fuel Education platform and load new courses and requirements into the student profile; supervise educational assistants; maintain classroom discipline; communicate with parents at needed. Provide rosters for attendance and a course list to summer school staff as they work with students. Provide technical support and training to staff and families as issues arise. Communicate with counselors and registrar as courses are completed and ready for transcription. Fill in for direct staff to work with students, as needed.
Requirements:
Two years of college, associate’s degree or passing score on a para-professional exam in reading, writing and math as required by federal law. Two years successful experience using Fuel Education program. Ability to establish meaningful relationships with students and staff; strong communication skills; demonstrated abilities in classroom organization and behavior management; understanding of social/cultural issues affecting students and families. Provide trainings and meetings for staff.
Qualifications Desired:
Knowledge of Edgenuity curriculum/program and understanding of past high school summer school programs.

Classified, Temporary position at Newberg High School; ONLY INTERNAL CANDIDATES NEED APPLY.
Workdays:
TBD, not to exceed 80 hours prep, 80 hours summer school.
