The full time Surgical Technician assists the surgeon in performing various surgical procedures on patients presenting to the operating room. They must work effectively with the physicians, patients, and peers possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
Requirements
Education:
- Must have completed a Surgical Technician program or was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before January 1, 2008, or completed specific on the job training.
- Current BLS certification required, or must obtain within 60 days of hire
Experience:
- Minimum of one-year surgical technician training and/or graduate of an accredited program.
