Job Title: Dining Room Server
Department: Dining Services
Reports To: Dining Room Manager / Executive Chef
Newbridge Retirement Community is seeking a customer service- oriented individual to join our team as full-time Dining Room Server. This individual will provide full-scope, hands on serving functions in the community food and beverage program and is responsible for maintaining a superior level of quality, service, and cleanliness at all times.
I. Job Responsibilities
- Exemplify at all times company standards of cleanliness, sanitation and organization.
- Exhibit leadership and management standards with all wait/buss/utility/management staff.
- Responsible for adhering to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards at all times.
- Exhibit dining room appearance and presentation standards at all times.
- Exemplify company standards of fully staffed operational, and stocked dining room.
- Exhibit serving standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Knowledge in areas of serving, preparation and shift organization.
- Adhere to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards at all times.
II. Qualifications/Skills:
- Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication
- Passion for working with older adults
- Ability to work well with others, communicate clearly and take direction from management
- Ability to take initiative and go above and beyond to meet resident needs
- Ability to meet all physical demands of the position which includes, but is not limited to, seeing, speaking, touching, walking, standing, bending, reaching overhead, crouching/kneeling or crawling, as well as the ability to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs independently and up to 100lbs with assistance
- Flexibility and the ability to work weekends, as needed
- Familiarity with local and state health and sanitation and safety codes and applicable state and federal regulations
- Knowledge in areas of local health department, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies
- Knowledge in areas of wait/service and line cook communication to other wait, buss, utility person, and management staff.
III Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent in education, training and experience preferred
