What are the responsibilities and job description for the Grade 1 Teacher position at Newbury Elementary?
Newbury Elementary School is seeking a teacher for grade 1. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for teaching, excellent communication and organization skills, a dedication to collaboration, and a positive mindset. The grade 1 teacher will work with the grade 1 team, and special educators to meet the needs of all students in the classroom.
Expectations and Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the classroom teacher, grade-level team, and special educators.
2. Support all students in the classroom, including those on IEPs and 504s.
3. Advocate for students and provide a rich learning environment.
4. Maintain an organized, efficient learning environment.
5. Familiarity with DIBELS, Fundations, iReady, Math in Focus, Amplify CKLA a plus.
6. Understanding of child development and how to support students with specific needs not on an IEP or 504.
