Job Description
The Float Relationship Banker is a unique position at Newburyport Bank, responsible for covering multiple offices as needed with a home branch location and team. This role will be based out of the Salisbury branch, with an expectation to primarily float between the Salisbury and Amesbury branches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service Duties: Providing superior and professional customer service to meet the needs of customers.
- Relationship Management: Deepening relationships with new and existing customers by discussing and identifying their financial needs.
- Cross-Selling: Recognizing opportunities for cross-sell and customer relationship building.
Operational Effectiveness:
Maintains a thorough knowledge of all Newburyport Bank products, services, procedures, policies, and appropriate regulatory and compliance issues relating to daily job functions.
- Processes transactions with minimal or no errors, including accepting checks for cash and deposit, processing payments for loans and other services, and maintaining necessary logs and processing mailed deposits.
- Issues money orders and official checks, processes coin, and orders customer checks according to Newburyport Bank policies and procedures, assessing appropriate fees for all services.
Requirements:
A minimum of high school education or equivalent in addition to 3 years of retail or customer service experience, preferably in a teller and or customer service role, or equivalent combination of both.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Comfortable with utilizing internet-based applications.
- Basic understanding and aptitude for math, working with numbers and cash handling.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
