Newcap is looking to add a professional, loyal, and knowledgeable individual to their team. Employment Coach will facilitate clients' access to employment services in the community; assist and coach clients with job searching, job placement, interview preparation, resume modification, and promote job retention.

This individual must demonstrate strong problem solving skills, have the ability to multi-task, effectively communicate with our internal and external customers and office personnel, have the ability to professionally represent our agency, and have a sense of humor because while we take what we do seriously, we love to laugh at ourselves. Well, and each other.
Coaching:
- Collaborate with client’s Family Success Coach to understand and give advice on client’s dream map and goal plan
- Work with clients on a one-on-one basis to provide education, guidance and referrals tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
- Develop and review weekly job activities for clients; and conduct client meetings within the community when necessary
- Facilitate clients' access to employment services in the community;
- assist and coach clients with job search, job placement, interview preparation, resume modification, and promote job retention
- Collaborate with Newcap Coaching Team to connect client and client’s family to all programs and resources they need to achieve their goals and dreams
Agency Intake:
- Take calls from clients in need of agency programs, ask screening/qualification questions.
- Maintain knowledge of all Newcap programs and related community programs and services.
- Enter all information into Captain database.
Collaborations and Connections:
- Collaborates with peer organizations, local school districts and colleges, in presenting educational seminars.
- Maintain relationships and network with other community-based service providers.
- Refer to appropriate agencies or begin application process by sending application packet.
- Develops outreach programs and strategies to bring awareness to the communities Newcap serves in an effort to expand services and connections.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Social Services, Counseling, Education or other relevant discipline. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Experience working with low income/financially distressed populations.
- A combination of education, training and life experience that results in demonstrated competency performing the work may be substituted.
