We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager to join our growing team. This is a new role within our organization and an exciting opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional with a background in real estate development and multifamily property accounting.
Role Overview:
In this role, you will have the chance to create structure, establish clear processes, and help streamline our finance operations. As the Accounting Manager, you will coordinate with a team of outsourced accountants and work with key third-party tax and audit functions. You will also play an integral role in in-house accounting activities and provide strategic financial support to ensure the smooth operation of our real estate development initiatives.

As the Accounting Manager, you will coordinate with a team of outsourced accountants and work with key third-party tax and audit functions. You will also play an integral role in in-house accounting activities and provide strategic financial support to ensure the smooth operation of our real estate development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Handle bank account management, reconciliations, and contract retention
- Manage cash flow and perform monthly financial reporting
- Oversee investor capital calls and distribution management
- Support budget planning and financial management processes
- Manage federal, state, and local business registrations and compliance reporting
- Coordinate with third-party CPA firms for audit and tax filings
- Provide strategic data reporting to support key business decisions and financial analysis
- Coordinate and mentor the outsourced accounting team
- RealPage Accounting and/or QuickBooks experience preferred
- 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate development or multifamily property management
- CPA certification preferred, but not required
- Experience working with outsourced accounting teams and coordinating tax and audit processes
- Strong organizational skills with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to create and implement structure in an evolving finance function
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
