Job Description
We are looking for a commercial construction superintendent that enjoys being on the road working with a team of professionals to complete retail remodels. The majority of our travel work is in the mid-west, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Kentucky, with the option to be home on weekends. This position will be responsible for representing the company on the assigned job site, delegating work and ensuring the project stays on schedule and the work meets quality expectations. Also, responsible for communicating with the Project Manager issues that arise with the project and accurately reporting on progress throughout the job.

Essential Physical Functions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee frequently is required to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and walk for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach, lift, pull and push with hands and arms. The employee will be required to periodically lift up to 40lbs above their head and 50lbs at a dead lift. The employee will be required, on a regular basis, to climb/use an extension ladder and work above 15 feet comfortably.
Equipment Used:
This job operates on a commercial construction jobsite. This role routinely uses standard construction equipment such as power tools, hand tools, phones, ladders, Powered Industrial Equipment, and other basic tools.
Additional Comments:
The employee may be exposed to any environmental conditions due to the nature of this position. The employee may be exposed to temperatures ranging from over 100 degrees to below freezing. The employee will be exposed to loud noise, vibrations, and other hazards on the job site. However, we work to our best abilities to ensure that all safety guidelines are followed, and proper protective equipment is provided. The employee may also be exposed to certain atmospheric conditions that could affect the respiratory system such as fumes, odors, dust, etc. It is very important that the employee follows all the safety training provided and use the proper protective equipment provided to them.

Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Bachelor’s Degree, Construction Management, Preferred
- Ability to solve problems and multitask
- Computer literate
- Valid Driver license
- Daily review of work in place to confirm it meets project specifications and client expectations.
- Facilitate all site meetings as described in Meeting Matrix. For example, weekly progress meetings, Preconstruction meetings with client and or sub-contractors, equipment startup demonstrations, punch list walks with contractors and or client and final acceptance/close-out meeting inspections
- Document construction progress. Daily photos, daily logs, change order management, drawing updates, meeting minutes.
- Manage close-out process including warranty documents, as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, close-out presentation and final punch list items.
- Upload all data to client cloud-based software and CM software (PlanGrid)
- Computer skills
- Functional understanding of Office 365 suite of software. (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to learn and use cloud-based management software (PlanGrid, ProjectMates, Procore, Microsoft Project)
- Communication
- Communicate orally and in writing in a professional manner.
- Conduct meetings with individuals or groups of up to 20 people.
- Understand and respond to verbal or written instructions.
- Work with others to solve problems and reach a desired outcome.
- Organization
- Effectively manage incoming information and multiple daily activities.
- Time management and organization of information is imperative.
- Able to create and maintain a schedule for short term and long-term responsibilities while remaining flexible for unforeseen situations that will arise.
