Responsibilities:
· Understand the use of equipment, sheet loader, and laser conveyor.
· Determine parts to be cut and select desired cutting program as per schedule.
· Cut jobs according to a set schedule to meet high demands.
· Monitors laser machine during cutting process.
· Conducts ongoing visual inspection of parts, ensuring correct sizes and tolerances, before forwarding to the next procedure.
· Count all pieces to ensure correct quantities, and complete necessary paperwork.
· Will be required to run or perform various duties while laser is running.
· Maintaining clean and safe work areas.
· Performs preventative and daily maintenance on laser machine as required.
· Offload finished parts and perform secondary operations on parts such as grinding tabs, tapping holes, and time save deburring.
Requirements
Skills Required:
· At least 2 years’ experience working on a laser/turret, preferred.
· Experience working with stainless steel preferred.
· Ability to lift 35 lbs frequently, and 50 lbs occasionally.
· Must be able to stand continually for entire shift with frequent bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, and pulling.
· Forklift experience a plus.
