We are seeking a highly motivated senior research associate to join our discovery group. The candidate should have technical proficiency in various immunological and ex vivo pharmacology assays. We are seeking collaborative individuals, who have a strong work ethic and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Execute experiments on primary cells or cell lines to screen and select lead drug candidates
- Perform multicolor flow cytometry and relevant immunological assays on blood and tissues from various rodent species and non-human primates (NHP) to evaluate the efficacy and mechanism of action of drug candidates
- Execute ex vivo experiments in animal models of immune-mediated diseases
- Design and troubleshoot experiments independently or with supervision
- Analyze data independently or with supervision and present at various internal meetings
- Demonstrate scientific rigor, maintain electronic lab notebooks, and comply with good laboratory practices
- Collaborate within the team and cross-functionally as necessary to advance projects and meet company milestones
Minimum Qualifications
- M.S in the field of biology, biotechnology, immunology, or a related discipline with 2 years of industry experience
- Expertise in multicolor flow cytometry and experience with various flow cytometers
- Excellent tissue culture techniques including isolation and culture of various cell types from primary human cells, humanized mice, or NHP
- Experience with Luminex, MSD, or ELISA
- Proficiency with various immunological techniques including but not limited to ICS, cytotoxicity assays, cytokine bead array, ELISpot, etc
- Research experience in immune-mediated diseases is desirable
