Position Overview
Accountable to the Site Manager for daily Operating results. Effectively engages with our Operational front line leaders to drive efficient strategic planning of our In & Outbound functions and all case picking functions, resulting in a highly engaged leadership team and individual contributors that are focused on safely delivering high quality metrics for our company and our clients. Align processes and resources that contribute to achieving our Sites Annual Operating Plan.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Assistant Site Manager will play a pivotal role within our Site Leadership Team by accomplishing the following key responsibilities:
Adopt the NewCold culture and uphold company values, ensuring that a positive attitude to Health & Safety is embedded within the team on-site.
Direct the operational team in alignment with company policy, ensuring that agreed standards are understood and met.
Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Direct Work Instructions (DWI’s) that lead to consistent results.
Effectively communicate with Site Manager on Operational capabilities that translates to our commitment to our clients and their needs.
Lead multiple teams to include Dispatch, Order Selection, layer pick, Planning and Stock Control to ensure the effective flow of products to our client’s customers while achieving agreed up Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).
Partner with the leadership team to identify, assess and deploy improvements.
Demonstrate the agility to identify the impact of setbacks and effectively pivot resources to maintain operational readiness and success.
Deliver effective communication that drives engagement and keeps our broader team focused on success.
Review shift handover communication and pre-shift meeting content to assure alignment with daily/weekly goals.
Communicate with relevant parties any process deviations, quality issues, and service deficiencies, or risk of failure in these areas.
Assist the Site Manager with producing metric reporting and detailed accounting of results.
Aid in the annual development planning for our Team Members and ongoing engagement throughout the year to ensure our team remains committed to learning.
Contribute to the Annual Operating Plan process to develop achievable goals that meet our financial commitments to our investors.
Other Duties as Assigned
Requirements
4-7 Years of experience in warehouse operations.
Operational leadership experience.
Proven track record of driving results and a service oriented mindset.
Strong communication skills and ability to foster a community of teamwork.
Proven track record of holding yourself and teammates accountable to goals and objectives.
