Facilities General Maintenance/Sanitation Trainee
Duties and responsibilities:
Maintain the general appearance and cleanliness of the facility in accordance with BRC and OSHA requirements. Performs general cleaning in and out of the freezer and other tasks as assigned. This is a full time, non-exempt hourly position, reporting to the Maintenance Team Lead, Facilities Manager and QSEH Manger.
Day Shift: Sunday-Thursday 8:00AM – 4:30PM
Starting Wage: $26.35
- Clean conveyor areas in the freezer and remove debris and pallet material
- Remove ice buildup from the ceiling as required
- Clean windows and doors as required.
- Maintain the exterior of the building in an orderly and professional appearance.
- Assist maintenance team as needed.
- Continually look for opportunities for improvement
- Other duties as assigned.
What you will bring to the table:
High School Degree
3 years of work experience in industrial maintenance or related field
Working knowledge of mechanical systems
Working knowledge of electrical systems
Previous experience with PLCs is a plus, as is familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems.
Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Must be able to climb 120ft ladder using safety harness.
Must be able to work effectively in cold freezer environment If you are interested in applying.
Must be in good physical condition and able to pass all required medical evaluations.
On occasion, will be required to wear a SCBA while working, requiring employees to be clean shaven.
