The senior management team at NewEdge Advisors is looking for a skilled Consultant to help drive business results across investments and recruiting efforts. They will provide support to Divisional Leader(s) across Trading, Portfolio Management, Due Diligence and Recruiting. Consultant will report to Director of Portfolio Management and work closely with the Managing Director of Trading & Investments. This position would located be in or near New Orleans, LA. Remote candidates will be considered. Frequent travel to New Orleans is required.
The Platform Solutions Consultant functions as a knowledge center for advisors and the Investment, Trading & Platform Solutions division. The consultant will be familiar with our entire investment offering, and policies, to deliver recommendations and solutions to advisors and their clients. We expect to provide maximum confidence to our advisors by delivering solutions accurately and at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Investments Consulting
- Develop and maintain relationship with strategic partners
- Assist with creation and maintenance of various departmental policies and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills. Develop and deliver presentations, marketing content, and deliverables for staff, colleagues, clients, and recruits.
- Fluency across our entire investment offering: what we built, why we built it, with conviction in making recommendations across RIA solutions:
- NewEdge UMA solution
- SMA/UMA/3rd party offerings
- Alternatives, Annuities, Direct/Third Party RIA business
- Platform Growth & Recruiting
- Assist with home office visits and recruiting, both remotely and in person at home office locations. Some travel to and comfort with in-person meetings required.
- Facilitate solution mapping for committed recruits, understand how, when, and where to drive firm revenue using platform and solutions.
- Maintain an understanding of competitors, industry trends and options.
- Content. Marketing & Technology Management
- Research and analyze FinTech tools related to trading and investment management. This could include procuring new tools that provide operational efficiency and/or advisor value
- Be the Product Manager for investment related technology and tools that we support (Hidden Levers, eMoney, Albridge, etc.). This could include:
- Being the administrator of the tools and helping onboard new advisors
- Being the main point of contact for advisor related questions
- Maintaining relationships with the technology vendors and negotiating pricing
- Helping advisors navigate the technology firms when they need enhanced support
- Develop and enhance investment portfolio marketing materials for proprietary platform/models including fact sheets, client presentations, etc.
- Ensure timely access to, and quick dissemination of updated 3rd party portfolio marketing materials to advisors
- Keep abreast of model changes, in real time, reiterating the process when applicable, or giving deeper insight if necessary.
- Aggregate client facing content from our partners; market commentaries, research, portfolio updates, and ensure advisors have recurring or one-off access.
- Be aware of all partner research calls, and ensure advisors know when and how to join if they want to.
- Prepare the quarterly performance numbers for Proprietary models, and coordinate on annual 3rd party audit.
- Manage our intranet and Resource Center pages.
Qualifications:
- Degree in finance, finance planning, economics, business, management, or related field
- Series 7 & 63/65/66
- CMT, CFA, CFP, MBA, CIMA, or other advanced designations encouraged.
- Past sales experience with recruiting, and internal/external wholesaling within financial services industry
- Superior communication and networking skills
- Location: New Orleans area strongly preferred
