Purpose of Job

The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for optimizing procurement processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring inventory levels align with business objectives. This role involves category planning, pricing strategy execution, and market trend analysis to enhance sales and margin goals.

Job Description

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies to support sales and margin objectives.
• Analyze category sales data and provide accurate sales forecasts.
• Monitor inventory levels, oversee inventory ratios, and address slow-moving stock.
• Review vendor agreements and collaborate with the legal team for final approval.
• Work closely with internal teams to plan and execute promotional strategies.
• Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships to optimize procurement terms.
• Stay informed on market trends and identify new product opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with cross-border business regulations for international markets.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing.
• Previous experience in goal setting and expectation management.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management and external clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and within a team.
