QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN - WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE, NEWELL PSN LLC

As a Quality Assurance Technician/Warehouse associate, you will have both quality testing and warehouse duties. The ideal candidate for this position has a two-year technical degree as well as warehousing experience. This person is expected to be self-motivated, very detail oriented, and ready to learn and experience new things.


LOCATION: Fully Onsite - 1500 Oracal Pkwy, Ellabell, GA 31308


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform physical proof testing as well as electro-mechanical test and verify test results conform to product specification
  • Inspect new products for quality control issues and investigate any discrepancies in stock levels; execute our ISO 9001 Quality system.
  • Document inspection results and maintain all test reports, logs, and Files for all incoming shipments as well as random testing as required.
  • Ability to read and record results. Ability to comprehend certification documents and specifications.
  • Always follow lab and warehouse safety regulations
  • Operate forklifts to handle materials and stock
  • Ensure daily equipment inspections are completed and documented prior to shift start and deficiencies get reported immediately.
  • Comply with all safety procedures and in/outdoor tidy maintenance guidelines to ensure the safety, security and sanitation of the warehouse; conduct periodic inspection of the warehouse
  • Maintain accurate documents and records for all testing requirements.
  • Perform other assigned duties as may be delegated by management

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year technical degree preferred.
  • 2 years prior experience in Quality Assurance in related field preferred.
  • Must possess strong technical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read blueprints, tape measures, calipers, squares, protractors, and other measuring devices required.
  • Ability to analyze information, report research results, and promote process improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Blueprint and 3D model reading skills.
  • Warehouse experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds as needed throughout the work shift.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and have reliable transportation.

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the warehouse.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records.
  • Understand and follow oral and written directions.
  • Work regular shifts to include evenings; weekends; and/or holidays as assigned. May by subject to call back, on call and/or emergency shifts.
  • Must possess general manual dexterity to operate computer, equipment, tools, controls, or other objects; reach with hands or arms.
  • Must possess mental acuity for attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Must see in the normal visual range with or without correction.
  • Must hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
