Summary :
This position is responsible for maintaining most of the equipment in the hospital. The ideal candidate will be an expert-level technician in multiple modalities. This role is considered a leader on the team and may have supervisory responsibilities. The BMET III will play a supporting role to the manager or director.
What you will do :
- Assemble, repair, and maintain patient care equipment according to their specifications
- Manage the facility's scheduled maintenance program
- Document all activities in Renovo's proprietary system (RenovoLive)
- Maintain departmental performance standards and goals
- Support cost containment under the direction of a supervisor or manager
- Provide mentoring and training to BMETs and apprentices
- Adhere to KPI targets related to task execution and support the team in achieving KPIs consistently
- Comply with Renovo and hospital policies
Qualifications :
At least 5 years of experience as a biomedical technicianKnowledge of electromechanical devices and principles, as well as a thorough understanding of general patient care equipment and can demonstrate the usage of supported devicesUnderstanding of life-support and diagnostic support devices and their usage within the healthcare settingProficient with multiple devices / modalities (ex. Patient Monitoring) and is an expert on the topicRequirement : need to pass a background check and drug screeningEducation / Special Training :
H.S. Diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical Certificate or DOD training requiredCollege Degree, Certification, or other higher level of education pertaining to this job description preferredCBET or similar preferredRequired Competencies :

The BMET III must be able to speak, hear, see, read, write, type, dial, reach, bend, climb, crawl, crouch, kneel, squat, and twist.Must have near vision, far vision, depth perception, and be able to distinguish colors.Must have sensory ability to distinguish hot, cold, range of temperatures, surfaces, fine motor skills, manual dexterity, and detect / distinguish odors.Must be able to carry or lift up to 50 pounds routinely.Classification : FLSA : Non-exempt
