Food Service Director

We are in search of a Food Service Director for our 50 resident, private nursing home. Serving great food is very important to us. We are looking for someone with a solid background in hospitality and food service management to join our team.
Qualifications/Experience:
- High school or equivalent
- US work authorization
- Strong experience (3 years) as a Food Service Director in a long-term care environment.
- Knowledge of and hands on experience with menu creation and food production.
- Knowledge of dietary procedures, as well as related Health Department regulations and guidelines pertaining to food service operations.
- Must be ServSafe certified
- Must have Food Manager Certification
Responsibilities:
The Food Service Director is responsible for planning, developing and directing the overall operation of the Dietary department. Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Partner with the other members of the team to meet the nutritional needs of 50 residents and to provide services for special events and the daily activity programs.
- Assuring cleanliness of all work areas.
- Inspecting food storage rooms, utility janitorial closets, etc. for upkeep, supply, and infection control.
- Reviewing all temperature documentation of freezers, refrigerators, etc. for proper temperatures.
- Addressing resident concerns or any problems with service immediately.
- Inventory, Order, and store food and material supplies weekly.
- Assume administrative authority and accountability of supervising dietary staff and the overall function of the Dietary department. This includes scheduling a staff of 10-12.
