Pay range: $90k-$95k
As a Medical Records Consultant, you will be providing on-site support to skilled nursing facilities, ensuring medical records compliance, accuracy, and survey readiness. This position requires frequent traveling within the U.S, overnight stays may be required.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Onsite Audits: Review charts, orders, care plans, and assessments for compliance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure CMS, state, and HIPAA standards are met.
- Training & Support: Educate facility staff on proper documentation, record closure, and retention practices.
- Process Improvement: Standardize workflows to prevent deficiencies and maintain survey readiness.
What Sets You Apart:
- Strong experience in medical records management within a skilled nursing or long-term care environment
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CMS, federal and state regulations regarding medical records
- Subject matter expert on PointClickCare
