Job Title: Sr. Cloud Engineer
Location: Tampa, FL
Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Cloud Engineer to join Newgen Cloud Management Group. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure solutions that support the organization's business applications. You will collaborate closely with other functions such as Delivery, DB, and Product to deliver Newgen Managed Cloud Solutions on Newgen Product-based platforms, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and reliable. In short they are custodians of Newgen Cloud Platform, thus playing a critical role in Newgen Cloud Delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms viz AWS, Azure.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation.
- Monitor and maintain cloud systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with Solutioning and Product Engineering teams for optimized and cutting-edge Cloud Infra deployments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues across cloud environments.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure costs while ensuring performance and scalability.
- Maintain security and compliance in cloud environments, ensuring adherence to best practices and relevant regulations.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Work with internal teams and external vendors to manage cloud infrastructure upgrades, patches, and system configurations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 year Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
- Cloud certifications Associate Level (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator).
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, services, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience in containerization and orchestrator technologies like Docker and Kubernetes respectively.
- Familiarity with networking and security protocols in cloud environments (e.g., VPCs, security groups, NAC, firewalls, WAF, DNS, DHCP, FTP, http/s, SMTP).
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on automation and efficiency.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Datadog or any other monitoring solution.

A Cloud Engineer depending upon their skills and interest, can grow to become a Principal Cloud Architect or Cloud Operations/DevOps Manager or Cloud Security Manager.
