- Assumes responsibility for providing instruction to students in the use of the media center and its resources, including technology.
- Provides ongoing training and support in the effective use of media and technology to members of the faculty.

- Prepares and manages an annual budget for the library / media program.

JOB DESCRIPTION :
The library / media specialist shall be concerned with the facilitation and improvement of instruction through the use of equipment, printed materials, and non-print resources available for the support of the learning / teaching process. In addition to traditional responsibilities, the library / media specialist shall assume leadership in the application of technology as a learning tool in the media centers and in the classrooms. The library / media specialist shall support the use of computer technology in collaboration with the technology resource teachers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Experience / Requirement : Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATE :
Connecticut State Department of Education Certification required :
