What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cake Decorator position at Newk's Bakery?
Duties:
Cake Decorator’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Icing, decorating, packaging, labeling Bakery items
- Operating the Bakery mixer
- Maintaining Bakery high standards for product freshness and sanitation
- Assisting in other duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
Cake decorator’s duties are performed primarily on the Bakery manufacturing floor. But may include being exposed to various temperature changes and work environments. Work includes walking, standing, bending, lifting and carrying products weighting up to 60 pounds. Duties include repetitive arm and hand movements and hand-squeezing for at least 85% of the work day.
REQUIREMENTS
- 18 years of age or older
- Able to read, write and perform simple math problems (recipes)
- Able to interpret, understand and follow instructions
- Able to work well with others as a team member
- Preferred
- Experienced as a cake decorator and/or bakery equivalent experience
