What are the responsibilities and job description for the Claims Specialist (Worker's Compensation) position at Newkleo LLC?
Job Description:
- Under the direction of a supervisor, determines compensability of Workers Compensation claims filed by State government employees against the State of New Jersey.
- Oversees medical case management for assigned files, and authorizes appropriate medical treatment in consultation with a managed care provider.
- Processes temporary compensation payments, and orders Independent Medical Examinations (IME).
- Prepares physical, documentary, and testimonial evidence needed for litigated files to assist assigned Deputy Attorney General in litigation and/or trial.
- Processes claim petitions, and other legal pleadings and discovery demands.
- Conducts investigations and interviews, and performs other related duties as required.
Skills required:
- Critical analytical and reasoning skills, good writing and communication skills.
Education required:
- College Graduate/Associates degree.
Experience required:
- Prior Workers’ Compensation Claims experience and knowledge of NJ Title 34:15 preferred
Work hours:
- 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Lunch: 1/2 hour (unpaid)
