Responsibilities
- Manage front desk operations, greeting visitors, and directing them appropriately.
- Performs all duties related to the registration of patients, including obtaining insurance information, identifying the need for and obtaining authorizations and pre-certifications from insurance carriers and physician offices.
- Timely collection of copayments and patient balances at the time of service and posts payments to the practice management system.
- Performs the end-of-day balancing process of monies received and posted.
- Professional patient scheduling, testing procedures, and any additional appointments ordered by the physician.
- Collaborate with team members on various projects as needed.
- Handle incoming calls and inquiries professionally, providing information or redirecting as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an office clerk or in a similar administrative role is preferred.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to type efficiently and accurately while maintaining focus on quality.
- Strong communication skills are required.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
