PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR - 2ND SHIFT
Department : PRODUCTION
SUMMARY :
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Effective and successful Supervision of Production Line operations and employees.
- Uphold and enforce that all employees are adhering to NWF Policies, Procedures and Standards.
- Maintains successful Production during the shift and promptly resolves any related issues.
- Works well with Maintenance, Quality Control, Customer Service and Warehouse.
- Monitor and enforce GMP’s and Regulatory requirements.
- Complete daily Production reports including computer entry.
- Assist in planning and scheduling Production.
- Monitor all Production activities.
- Monitor Product Quality
- Troubleshoot Production and Packaging issues.
- Complete daily Production and daily Security checklists.
- Monitor HACCP program relating to Production.
- Monitor Machine efficiency and equipment maintenance.
Report to MTC any deviations.
- Assist in month end inventory.
- Work with HR regarding employee related issues.
- Contribute to successful audits.
- ADJUST SHIFTS AS NEEDED TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF NWF PRODUCTION OPERATIONS, INCLUDING MANDATORY WEEKENDS.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in a variety of environments such as climbing ladders, working at various heights and in awkward / cramped positions.
- Always maintain the best interest of NWF business.
Perform any and ALL other duties assigned by Management.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Minimum of 5 years of Plant experience in the food industry with 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
- Ability to give and receive thorough instructions and communicate effectively with management, supervisors and other employees.
- Excellent computer skills with emphasis in MS office and Excel.
AS 400 experience a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of GMP’s, HACCP, SQF and BRC.
- Proven track record within a Continuous Improvement Environment.
- Ability to lead, develop, train, and motivate workforce while at the same time ensuring a healthy work environment and a high level of employee engagement.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and hands on approach.
