What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Coordinator position at Newly Weds Foods- Bethlehem, PA?
The Inventory Coordinator performs functions directed towards successfully and efficiently meeting manufacturing goals by maintaining accurate inventory levels and records, confirming the delivery accuracy of inbound purchase orders, and working with various plant and corporate contacts to ensure inventory accuracy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Manages month end inventory and reconciles the monthly physical inventory for finished goods, work in progress, and raw materials.
- Maintains accuracy of internal ticket tracking system for inventory.
- Enters inventory adjustments and maintains inventory records related to plant level activity.
- Creates / Maintains regular cycle count program.
- Assists warehouse and production personnel with resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Works with AP department to resolve issues related to accounting related inventory variances.
- Follows up daily with inbound purchase orders. Includes updating freight costs from various reports, confirming inbound purchase orders are on time and shipping in full. Follows up with corresponding vendors and communicates any issues with buyers.
- Processing and filing of receiving paperwork. Verify freight costs are recorded correctly, ensure items and quantities are received accurately by the warehouse, scans paperwork into our system.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates degree or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years’ inventory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with food/perishables.
- Knowledge of basic AP principles.
- Knowledge of AS400 ERP systems is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Excel and MS Office applications is required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Primarily office setting combined with time spent on your feet in a seasoning warehouse / manufacturing environment as required.
- This role will occasionally require weekend work.
