Newma Wellness is a new family primary care clinic in Colorado Springs, CO. We see the entire family and specialize in maternal, postpartum and infant care. We are professional, customer-centric, and collaborative care team. Newma stives to promote optimal wellness by providing collaborative supplemental care such as on-site lactation support, bodywork services for both mother and baby, and education classes. This care is extended out to cover the entire family including children, adults, and women who have not yet given birth, with services such as annual exams and pap smears. We attempt to blend natural wellness support with access to medical interventions when necessary.

Our organization is looking for a Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and expertise in family medicine as well as experience in pediatrics and gynecological health. The successful candidate will provide guidance and leadership to staff, especially as it pertains to medical screening and primary care and must have exemplary communication skills. Must believe in and be knowledgably about more natural support to wellness care as well as have an open mind to homeopathic remedies. Must also be vaccination friendly. We advise our patients on vaccination recommendations and scheduling but respect the parent's right to choose what is best for their children under the law.
Responsibilities:
- Provide primary care to the entire family, ages newborn to 65yrs.
- Evaluate and treat chronic and acute illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and infections in adults and children.
- Advise patients on preventive health care measures; annual physicals and well child visits; plan immunizations; diagnose and treat sexually transmitted diseases and infections; diagnose and treat postpartum complications.
- Perform diagnostic examinations for the early detection of internal disease including the use of appropriate laboratory, pap smear collection, or other diagnostic techniques.
- Medication management (DEA not required)
- Provide specialty, laboratory and diagnostic referrals as needed.

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
