This is a FT position Monday-Friday Days 40 hour week
Job summary:
The Credit/Collection Coordinator is responsible for notifying former patients or their representatives of delinquent hospital accounts and attempts to obtain payment. Prepares accounts for transition to an outside agency for continued collection.
Essential Functions:
Reviews delinquent accounts
Submits delinquent accounts to a collection agency
Records any and all collection efforts taken on individual accounts
Submits accounts to the Kansas Setoff Program
Coordinates the Financial Assistance Program
Coordinates the Estate, Liens, Affidavits, and Bank Loan process
Other duties as assigned
Skills & Abilities
High School Graduate or GED required. Some college or technical school training preferred
One year of medical billing or medical related experience.
